Meet Your Argentine Jewish Lawyer, Elias Kier Joffe
Hi, I’m Elias Kier Joffe. My grandfather, Abraham, came to Argentina from Ukraine as a young boy and founded this firm in Buenos Aires in 1940. My family’s story is the story of so many Jewish families in Argentina.
My Jewish education took me to Israel and the United States: I studied at Yeshiva Ohr Tmimim in Kfar Chabad and at the Rabbinical College of America in New Jersey. We have family in Israel and have gone back many times, including for our children’s bar and bat mitzvahs.
My daughter Sheina chose her own path: she’s serving in the Israel Defense Forces and plans to build her life there. As a father, it isn’t easy to have her so far away. But I’m proud: she chose our land, Israel.
I oversee every case personally, and my children, Sarah and Arieh, work alongside me as the fourth generation of our family law firm.
