Why Your Birth Certificate Needs an Apostille
Italian and Spanish consulates, USCIS and courts abroad only accept an Argentine birth, marriage or death certificate with the Hague apostille. Without it, your citizenship or immigration file can stall. It’s one of the documents we handle as part of our Argentina apostille service.
A Real Law Firm, Not a Faceless Website
Most apostille websites in Argentina are anonymous. We’re a law firm with a name and a face: we get apostilles every week for our own clients’ probate, immigration and citizenship cases, and we opened the service to everyone. When you send us a request, attorney Elias Kier Joffe and his team are behind it.
Have an Old Copy? Get a New One
The apostille goes on a certificate whose signatures can be verified, usually a recent copy from the civil registry. If your copy is old, on paper or with you in the U.S., it’s usually easier to get a new certified copy that comes with the apostille. We do that through our Argentina birth certificate service.
Marriage, Death and Civil Union Certificates Too
The same process works for Argentine marriage, death and civil union certificates. We apostille them, add a certified translation if you need one, and send them to you by email or international courier.
One Point of Contact for Legal, Tax and Notarial Matters
We are a one-stop legal solution. Our team includes lawyers, accountants, Argentine notaries (escribanos) and certified translators, all under one roof and coordinated by attorney Elias Kier Joffe. When needed, we also work directly with your own lawyers back home, for example on your citizenship application or the estate you’re settling.

FAQ
Frequently asked questions
Can you apostille the original birth certificate I have at home?
Sometimes. If it’s an old paper copy, its signatures may need to be verified first, and you’d have to send it to Argentina. In most cases it’s faster and cheaper to get a new certified copy that’s ready for the apostille. We tell you which route fits your case.
Will the apostille be accepted for Italian or Spanish citizenship?
Yes. Consulates and offices in Italy and Spain accept Argentine apostilles. Tell us which one will receive your certificate, and we include the apostille and the translation they ask for.
Is the apostilled certificate valid in the U.S.?
Yes. The U.S. has signed the Hague Apostille Convention, so USCIS, U.S. consulates and courts accept Argentine apostilles. They may also ask for a certified translation into English, which we can include.
How much does a birth certificate apostille cost?
It depends on whether we apostille the copy you have or get a new one, the year and the province of the record, how many certificates you need, whether you need a certified translation, and on the delivery. Fill out the form and we reply within 24 hours with a written quote.
Can you apostille marriage and death certificates too?
Yes. We apostille Argentine marriage, death and civil union certificates the same way, and we can get new certified copies of them if you need them.
How can I check that my apostille is valid?
Each Argentine apostille includes verification data you can enter on the Argentine government’s official website to confirm it’s authentic. Before you present it, check that the name, the issuing authority and the date match your document.
